Today's Tuesday Inspiration comes from the mystical Sufi poet, Rumi.
Rumi's poetry is inspired by the Sufi's experience of union with the divine, which is similar to the quest for union with the 'atman', or self, in yoga. Although he was scholar of the Koran, Rumi's work is acknowledged as having universal and timeless appeal. Personally, I find it uplifting to reflect on the similarities between two spiritual traditions rather than the differences, as is usually the case in this modern era of ideological clashes.
